Practice-based coaching (PBC) is a collaborative professional development model with the potential to influence preschool teachers' knowledge and implementation of instructional strategies with fidelity. PBC will be presented as an effective tool for facilitating teacher's use of inferential/literal language, expansions, and engagement with students during shared book reading.
