Regulating the Dysregulated Child

Emotional dysregulation in children often results from experiences of early trauma, toxic stress, brain injury, or neglect and may present as challenging behaviors, social withdrawal, and/or anxiety. This session will address brain research behind these issues, as well as classroom strategies that teachers can implement to develop children's self-regulation skills.
