Story Drama and Social Connections in Inclusive Environments

In collaboration with Rice University's School Literacy and Culture program, the general and special educators of the Houston JCC implemented a story drama curriculum to promote the social and language development of children. Storyacting is a useful tool for promoting child engagement and learning through sustained social interactions with peers.

I supervise a private preschool inclusion program at the Jewish Community Center. I am interested in inclusion, emergent curriculum that can flexibly meet the needs of diverse learners, and issues of social justice in early childhood.
