Collaborate, Don't Remediate: ECSE Students Learn from Immigrant Families (Poster #18)

Traditional approaches to "family involvement" are remedial, rather than authentically collaborative, and dispositions of Early Childhood Special Education teacher candidates can reflect this view. This session presents the Family Immigration Story Project along with analyzed results, which revealed the potential for interrupting this view and re informing perspectives on collaboration.
