Parents often assume positions where they intentionally or unintentionally advocate for their children with disabilities. In this qualitative study, families of children in early intervention (receiving birth-3 services) were asked how they define advocacy and ways they advocate for their children. Supports and hinderances to advocacy efforts will be discussed.
